Getting Started with Transport Services

In terms of geography, we differentiate between domestic and international transport.

Domestic transport  refers to the transport of shipments from any dispatch station to any destination station listed in TR 6 (List of Licensed Dispatch Stations in the Czech Republic), and also to transport by foreign railways, if agreed on by the railway companies concerned (page transport). Such shipments are normally consigned by means of „Domestic Transport Consignment Note“.

Within the scope of domestic transport, we differentiate the following shipments: normal complete wagon load, express complete wagon load (perishable items), and term shipment (see Termín Cargo ) based on negotiated contracts.

A ‘complete wagon load’ shall refer to a shipment, which must be transported by at least one self-contained wagon, and is accompanied by a consignment note when consigned.

Likewise, any empty wagon and/or any wagon under load and/or any swap body, which is transported on a railway vehicle; as well as any empty railway vehicle and/or vehicle under load, which is not the property of the forwarder performing transport of the shipment and has been consigned with „Domestic Transport Consignment Note", shall also be considered a complete wagon load.

International transport shall refer to the transport of shipments consigned with the „International Consignment Note CIM“, i.e. to any transport performed under „Uniform Rules for the Contract on International Rail Carriage of Goods“ – CIM (Uniform Rules for the Contract on International Rail Carriage of Goods) to and from railway stations of the countries participating in the COTIF Convention (Convention Concerning International Carriage by Rail).
