Customs Services

The Customs Agency service is an additional service provided when transporting shipments. The ČD Customs Agent can perform forwarding services related to comprehensive provision of customs procedures, including relationships with state authorities. Furthermore, the Customs Agent handles system activities based on obligations concerning enforcement of customs rules, as well as rules of other state authorities, by executive units and contractual customers

The Agent also performs other services connected with ČD activities in the field of commodity expertise, ensuring customs procedures, and meeting railway network obligations agreed on in business contracts; direct action on behalf of customers in customs procedures concerning individual shipments and the placing of shipments under customs procedures.

INTRASTAT and NCTS Systems

Based on a contract, the Agent develops the INTRASTAT statistical reports and submits the reports to customs authorities.

The INTRASTAT system is a statistical system concerning the movement of goods within the E.U. in terms of VAT.

With a view toward the latest developments in electronic communication between customs authorities and the business sector regarding common transit using the NCTS system (i.e. system allowance for the submission of electronic customs declarations accompanied by a digital signature), the system has also been implemented in ČD customs agent workplaces to carry out business in this field. In these workplaces, you can obtain a bond within customs procedures, which is provided by customs agents based on a contract with a partner company.
