ČD Cargo, a. s. is ready to provide its consultancy services to any warehouse premises developer/operator when designing use of railway traffic for the operation of such centres. This may include both the development of a rail connection by railway siding, and realizing the benefits of combined (intermodal) transport by whole trains.
ČD Cargo, a. s. has been cooperating with the Czech Ministry of Transport and representatives of other institutions on the Public Logistic Centres (PLC) project. Such centres will form a network of logistic services providers based on a neutral approach to every customer, using the combined advantages of road and railway traffic. We are engaged in projects of developing railway sidings into industrial estates and other factories.
In all of these projects, ČD Cargo has applied its long-term experience in the field of operating railway sidings, as well as in railway transport within both Czech and European networks. We have a sufficient capacity of suitable wagons and tools available to ensure the accurate and reliable delivery of your shipments.
