The wagons of ČD Cargo move up to 10 million tonnes of construction materials per year, which mainly includes bulk substrates. Information on the conditions of such transportation can be obtained from any sales manager.

This not only includes information concerning transport prices, but also on the selection of suitable wagons, loading methods and security of the goods, wagon ordering methods and filling in consignment notes. A great emphasis is put on meeting the planned times.

We can transport the following types of goods

The following construction materials and mineral resources used in the building industry are most often transported by České dráhy wagons:

Limestone

The limestone is especially designed for desulphurization of power plants.

Lime and cement

Both lime and cement are exclusively transported in wagons provided by wagon holders (so-called ‘private wagons’).

Construction Materials

The construction materials include all kinds of roof tiles, bricks, blocks, concrete products, wall/floor tiles, panels and also concrete sleepers for the recovery of railway networks.

Mineral Resources

These mainly include sands and gravels.

Slags and Ashes

Slags and ashes for cement products are mainly transported from smelting works.

Suitable Series of Wagons

The transport of lime, cements, mineral resources, slag and ash is performed in self-discharging wagons. We use sheltered, high-sided and low-sided wagons to transport construction materials. We use the following types: Hbbillns, Gags, Gbgkks, Rils, Gbgs, Habbillns, Falls, Eas, and Faccs.
