There is always something going on, on the railway. This is the place where you can find the most recent information not only about what is happening in our company CD Cargo, but also various interesting affairs taking place on the traffic market, and other.
On Saturday September 9, 2017, a day of open doors was held at Stora Enso sawmill in Ždírec nad Doubravou. Estimated numbers of visitors are about two thousand.
Visitors could see individual production sites in full operation, get acquainted with the technology of production of lumber, wood pellets, etc. Every year, circa 970 thousand m3 of logs are processed at the saw mill in Ždírec and the sawmill is also used by ČD Cargo services.
Within the open doors day, visitors could also see a small exhibition of ČD Cargo vehicles. A big interest among children was to ride on the lovcomotive of 731 series.
Adult visitors have looked at the exposition of ČD Cargo's 10-year history as well as the timber transports freight cars of various types.
The great interest of visitors meant not only the promotion of the sawmill, but also the promotion of railway and ČD Cargo services. The successful implementation of the event is thanks to the employees of the Brno operating unit.
