There is always something going on, on the railway. This is the place where you can find the most recent information not only about what is happening in our company CD Cargo, but also various interesting affairs taking place on the traffic market, and other.
On the 14th of April 2018 there was a slide of the railway track in the interstation section Dalovice – Hájek, which led to the interruption of the operations on the line “Podkrušnohorská magistrála”.
It was necessary to immediately react and divert not only block trains, but also to solve problems with the system of transport of individual wagons. Due to the importance of this line, the modification of the train formation affected almost the entire network and all the train stations. The biggest impact was noted at the Praha-Libeň station, where almost all diverted consignments from the north and east of the Czech Republic are concentrated. In cooperation with opeations management Česká Třebová all block trains, including the "Kůrovec" trains and coal trains from Nové Sedlo near Loket to the Mělník power plant, are being diverted.
Regarding the expected length of repair of the damaged section, the train-forming changes will be incorporated into the III. GVD change. Diverting carriages are economically demanding, also because of the SŽDC, which did not back off on planned exits on the diverting line Praha - Plzeň – Cheb.
