At the IFRTR Conference on Tariffs and Innovation, held in Moscow on October 13, 2017, a Memorandum of Cooperation between ČD Cargo and VGP VO ZDT (Федеральное Государственное Предприятия Военизированная Охрана Железнодорожного Транспорта) was signed to provide higher security of shipments transported not only on the Trans-Siberian Railway.

By signing this Memorandum, ČD Cargo joined other entities cooperating within the framework of the Security Train project. It offers shipment security throughout shipping from China, Russia or Central Asia through one watch service to a destination in Europe. Continuous monitoring uses electronic seals and, in case of disturbance, the intervention unit is driven to the train.

Essential information is the responsibility for the shipment being transported. Here, the company already takes over the railway carrier. However, the risk of theft using this service is minimal.
