\u010cD Cargo submitted an application for financial support for the implementation of a project concerning the heat insulation of the assembly plant building in \u010cesk\u00e9 Bud\u011bjovice within the Operational Program Enterprise and Innovation for Competitiveness 2014-2020 (support program “Energy Savings”, III. Call) whose managing authority is the Ministry of Industry and Trade<\/p>

The aim of the Program as well as of the Call was to support reduction of energy intensity of the enterprise sector. The supported measures are intended to save final energy consumption. At the same time, the Program is to contribute to the fulfilment of Directive 2012\/27\/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council on energy efficiency, which stipulates the introduction of indicative national energy efficiency targets by 2020. The planned allocation of the Call was CZK 6 billion. The level of support for a “large enterprise”, the definition of which \u010cD Cargo meets within the Program, was provided up to 30% of eligible costs. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Project description<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The subject of this energy-saving project was the heat insulation of the building shell and replacement of the existing fluorescent lamps with LED lighting units. The assembly plant building located on the premises of the Rolling Stock Repair Centre in \u010cesk\u00e9 Bud\u011bjovice is owned by \u010cD Cargo, a.s., and it is used for component repairs of traction vehicles.<\/strong> The project concerns not only the main two-storey hall of the assembly plant, but also the adjacent MTZ warehouse and the single-storey hall. The building was built in 1952, which corresponds to its current state. <\/p>

The assembly plant building consists of three parts \u2013 the hall of the building covering both floors, the adjoining ground floor warehouse with a ramp and an outdoor storage shelter. Furthermore, a single-storey hall adjoins the building, through which one track passes. In the main hall, which also includes workshops, there are four tracks where locomotive repairs are carried out. On the 2nd floor, there are changing rooms and sanitary facilities for employees. <\/p>

As mentioned above, the Project consisted of two parts:<\/p>

  • improvement of thermal technical properties of the shell building structures,<\/li>
  • replacement of the existing hall lighting \u2013 installation of LED lighting units.<\/li><\/ul>

    As part of the heat insulation of the building shell, the perimeter structure and roof structure were insulated and the doors and windows replaced. The shape and architectural expression of the building was not changed, but the facade was be completely cleaned of unused and obsolete elements and only functional structures were left. The bearing and building structures remained intact. The insulated building shell was then designed in a colour corresponding to the Manual of the unified visual style of \u010cD Cargo, which achieved an appearance representing the company \u010cD Cargo, a.s. <\/p>

Je tak patrn\u00e9, \u017ee v\u00fdstupy projektu maj\u00ed pozitivn\u00ed dopady na \u017eivotn\u00ed prost\u0159ed\u00ed, a to bl\u00edzk\u00e9ho okol\u00ed, regionu i cel\u00e9 \u010cesk\u00e9 republiky, jako\u017eto \u010dlensk\u00e9ho st\u00e1tu EU. Pl\u00e1novan\u00e9 aktivity generuj\u00ed ni\u017e\u0161\u00ed pod\u00edl emis\u00ed, ni\u017e\u0161\u00ed energetickou spot\u0159ebu a zajist\u00e9 i zv\u00fd\u0161en\u00ed estetick\u00e9 hodnoty p\u0159edm\u011btn\u00e9 nemovitosti. <\/p>

    The construction site was handed over to the selected contractor on 6 August 2018 and the implementation was finished on 29 April 2019 (taking the work over from the contractor), and the occupancy permit was issued on 30 August 2019. The total eligible costs of the \u010cD Cargo project amounted to CZK 14\u202f049\u202f458.08, out of which CZK 4\u202f214\u202f837.42 was covered by the provided subsidy. <\/p>
