Basic information on the Programme<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Within the framework of the Programme for support of applied research, experimental development, and innovation in the field of transport \u2013 DOPRAVA 2020+, co-financed by the European Union, whose managing body is the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic, \u010cD Cargo has joined the application for financial support for the implementation of the project Research on operational aspects of the intelligent end of train as another applicant.<\/p>

The aim of the Programme is to develop the transport sector through the outputs, results and impacts of the supported projects in a way that reflects societal needs, accelerates the technological and knowledge development of the country, and thus to contribute to the growth of the Czech Republic’s competitiveness. The planned allocation of the Programme for 2020 \u2013 2026 is CZK 1.95 billion. The expected average intensity of support for individual projects is 80%. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Project description<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The main objective of the Project is the development and operational verification of a working sample of the “Intelligent End of Train” device. In particular, its transmission, measuring, control and power supply system will be implemented. The whole system will be verified in the operational conditions of rail freight transport. The resulting functional sample should contain components and functional algorithms to enable the realization of a prototype and subsequent mass production of a commercial product to be deployed as a constituent of interoperability on the EU railways. <\/p>\n

This Project is implemented in cooperation with the Czech Technical University in Prague (the main beneficiary) and the companies TRS s.r.o. and V\u00fdzkumn\u00fd \u00dastav \u017delezni\u010dn\u00ed, a.s.<\/p>\n

The total estimated cost of the Project is CZK 9.89 million. The amount of subsidy for the entire Project is assumed to be CZK 7.29 million with the proportional part for \u010cD Cargo amounting to CZK 0.84 million.
