Association of Rail Freight Carriers of the Czech Republic, ŽESNAD.CZ has balanced its activities for the first year of its existence.

At Horizont hotel in Pec pod Sněžkou, on 18 May 2017, the first annual meeting of this association was held. It was preceded by a closed meeting of the Presidium and an annual member meeting of ŽESNAD.CZ. At the aforementioned open annual meeting, which was launched by Mr. Ivan Bednárik, 1st Vice-President of ZESNAD.CZ, a number of precious guests appeared in addition to representatives of member companies. Let us mention in particular MP of the Czech Republic Martin Kolovratník, Deputies Minister of Transport of the Czech Republic Milan Feranc and Ladislav Němec or representatives of SŽDC, s.o., headed by CEO Pavel Surý. In addition to the presentations of the guests of the annual meeting, the heads of the individual working groups presented themselves in the second part of the meeting.

The presentation of all the presenters confirmed the meaningfulness of the association's activities, the main purpose of which is to promote the development and prosperity of rail freight transport while at the same time to defend and promote the interests of railway undertakings operating in rail freight.
