Conference in Špindlerův Mlýn

The full conference hall of the Horal Hotel in Špindlerův Mlýn hosted the 18th annual ČD Cargo business conference on the 10th of November 2022. Almost 150 representatives of ČD Cargo customers could look forward to an interesting program.

The participants of the conference were greeted "from a distance" by the Minister of Transport Martin Kupka, and the parent Czech Railways were represented in the hall by Michal Krapinec, Chairman of the Board of Directors of ČD and Miroslav Zámečník, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of ČD. David Marek, Chief Economist of Deloitte Advisory, followed up on their greetings with his presentation regarding the current economic situation. Representatives of the Railway Administration were also be present with information about the planned closures, which will again significantly affect the operation of freight trains in 2023.

The second program block was traditionally opened by the Chairman of the Board of ČD Cargo, Tomáš Tóth, who reviewed the events affecting railway traffic this year and also spoke about the 4 strategic pillars of ČD Cargo, respectively about how we manage to fulfill them. An interesting diversion was the video presenting the world of intermodality of ČD Cargo in the form of a report. The conclusion of the conference was the most important – information on the price and business strategy of ČD Cargo for the year 2023.
