On 12 September 2023, ČD Cargo was granted a Single Safety Certificate by the European Union Agency for Railways (ERA) for the maximum possible period, i.e. for 5 years. The certificate has been issued in the full extent according to our application, i.e. for freight transport including the transport of dangerous goods on the territory of the Czech Republic, Germany and Austria (now including operations to border stations in Italy). “We are one of the first major carriers to obtain this new type of certificate. However, this is only one of the milestones on our journey. But we really appreciate it. It is feedback to our activities in Europe,” commented Tomáš Tóth, Chairman of the Board of Directors of ČD Cargo.
