Transport of exceptional consignments
Optimal options for transporting consignments by rail
Special consignments on railway include, for example, consignments exceeding the loading gauge (PLM) or the specified track load class, consignments securing of which does not comply with the UIC Loading Guidelines, rail vehicles running on their own wheels that can be transported under special operational conditions only, etc.
The forms to be completed before requesting a transport of exceptional consignments.
The customer placing the order for transport of an exceptional consignment can obtain instructions for completing the order form by emailing prepravymz@cdcargo.cz or by calling 725 820 151 (Group for special transports and exceptional consignments).
The completed order form for the transport of an exceptional consignment must always be submitted by the customer in writing and well in advance of the intended transport date via email to prepravymz@cdcargo.cz.
A sufficient lead time is considered 15 days for domestic transports, 30 days for international transports, and 3 months for international transports that involve reloading to wagons of a different gauge.
For extremely large or heavy consignments, a sufficient lead time is considered to be 1–3 months, depending on the nature and dimensions of the consignment.
