Single Wagon Loads
Conditions for transport of SWL from April 1, 2026
ČD Cargo offers freight transport in the form of Single Wagon Loads (SWL). However, compared to the rules set for these transports in 2025, there is a change in the functioning of the entire system in 2026, which is associated with a more significant reduction in the network with regular service.
From April 1, 2026, the network of tariff points has been divided into the following categories:
Special carriage conditions
Basic and supplementary network
This is a network of tariff points, where ČD Cargo offers the SWL transport as the standard. The basic network (shown in green on the map) is served regularly without any special conditions (as a standard, according to the established procedures).
The supplementary network (shown in blue on the map) is being served irregularly according to an arrangement of the Operation department with the business partners.
Contractual network
The contractual network includes tariff points that ČD Cargo does not offer for regular transports in a standard manner. These represent a network of tariff points (marked in yellow on the map) where a minimum number of consignments was loaded/unloaded in the recent period and where the costs of their operation within this network cannot be covered even with optimized coordination of available capacity. In the case of a request for transport from/to these points, an exception can be granted. To obtain such an exception, it is necessary to contact the relevant ČD Cargo Sales Manager, who arranges for internal preparation of individual technology and individual pricing for such transport. If the submitted offer is accepted, the customer shall order the transport at the ČD Cargo Customer Center (zakaznickecentrum@cdcargo.cz) not later than 7 days before the required date of transportation. Transport of block trains to tariff points on this network is not restricted.
