The Harmony Hotel in Spindleruv Mlyn hosted already the sixth annual ŽESNAD.CZ conference. In addition to delegates of carriers, the event was also attended by representatives of the Railway Administration, manufacturers of railway equipment, repair companies and, of course, political representatives, including the Minister of Transport Martin Kupka.
The conference was divided into three discussion panels concerning the competitiveness of rail freight transport against the road, infrastructure modernization and the third block was symbolically entitled “Carriers + Infrastructure = Railways. In this very block, Minister Martin Kupka, Director General of the Railway Administration Jiří Svoboda, President of ŽESNAD.CZ Martin Hořínek, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of ČD Cargo and 1st Vice President of ŽESNAD.CZ Tomáš Tóth spoke and discussed.
The contribution from Slovakia was also interesting – the situation on the Slovak transport market was presented by Peter Šulko from the Ministry of Transport of the Slovak Republic who was followed by Ján Biznár, President of the Association of Slovak Freight Carriers AROS.
