Single Wagon Loads

Changes in SWL transport from December 14, 2025

ČD Cargo offers freight transport in the form of Single Wagon Loads (SWL). However, compared to the rules set for these transports in 2025, there will be a change in the functioning of the entire system in 2026, which is associated with a more significant reduction in the network with regular service.
From December 14, 2025, the network of tariff points will be divided into the following categories:

Category: Operated

This is a network of tariff points where ČD Cargo offers SWL transport as the standard. Part of this network (shown in green on the map) is served regularly without any special conditions (as standard, according to established procedures). The other part of this network (shown in blue on the map) will be served under special conditions with the application of the Additional Charges PD 27.35. For PD 27.35, there is a change in the charges structure, whereby a uniform rate is no longer set, but stations are individually classified according to their distance from the servicing center and the associated complexity of their service.

Category: Restrictions for SWL:

The restrictions for SWL apply to tariff points that ČD Cargo will not offer as standard for regular transport. These are a network of tariff points (marked in yellow on the map) where a minimum number of consignments have been loaded/unloaded in the past period and where the costs of their operation cannot be covered within this network, even with appropriate coordination using free capacity. In the case of a request for transport from/to these points, an exception may be granted. To obtain an exception, contact of the relevant ČD Cargo sales manager is necessary, who will arrange for the internal preparation of individual technology and individual pricing for such transport. If the submitted offer is accepted, the customer shall order the transport at the ČD Cargo Customer Center (zakaznickecentrum@cdcargo.cz) no later than 7 days before the required date of execution. The transport of block trains to tariff points in this network is not limited.

Category: Not served:

The unserved network includes tariff points (marked in red on the map) that have not been used for any ČD Cargo transport in the recent period, or only to a minimal extent. These tariff points will have their authorization to accept and deliver wagon loads revoked and will neither be offered for SWL transport nor block trains.

In exceptional cases where there is a request to provide block train transport from/to these tariff points, it is necessary to contact the relevant sales manager.
