ČD Cargo, a.s., has implemented and maintains an integrated management system in accordance with ISO standards in order to continuously improve the services it provides. The basic documents of the integrated management system in accordance with ISO standards are:

ISO 9001
(QMS = Quality Management System) is a certificate that certifies compliance with the requirements for a quality management and control system focused on the quality of services provided. ČD Cargo, a.s. has been certified according to this standard since February 2007.
ISO 14001
(EMS = Environmental Management System) is a certificate that certifies compliance with the requirements for an environmental management system focused on the environment. According to this standard, the repair department at ČD Cargo, a.s. has been certified since November 2008.
ISO 45001
(SMS = Safety Management System) is a certificate that certifies compliance with occupational safety system requirements focused on occupational health and safety. ČD Cargo, a.s. has been certified according to this standard since December 2012.
ISO 50001
(EnMS = Energy Management System) is an energy management system certificate. ČD Cargo, a.s. has been certified according to this standard since October 2017.

In the interest of continuous improvement of its services, ČD Cargo, a.s. has obtained and maintains certifications and attestations in accordance with other standards and specifications, in particular:
SQAS Core and Rail Specific
(SQAS = Safety & Quality Assessment System) is a certificate attesting to the quality and safety of the transport of chemical substances by rail. ČD Cargo, a.s. has held this certificate since March 2015.
AEO certificate
(Authorized Economic Operator) is the highest level of certification for “Simplified Customs Procedures/Safety and Security” issued by the Customs Administration. ČD Cargo, a.s. has held this certification since September 2009.
EcoVadis sustainability rating
ČD Cargo has successfully completed an independent assessment process of its sustainability and social responsibility. In 2024, our company achieved a score of 50 points, which ranks it among the top 30% of international companies in the field of rail transport according to the EcoVadis methodology. We are also a holder of the EcoVadis “Committed” badge, which recognizes companies that have completed the assessment process and demonstrated good ratings within the EcoVadis methodology.
Certificate for maintenance functions and Certificate for the entity responsible for maintenance
These certificates prove compliance with the conditions (compliance with Directive (EU) 2016/798 of the European Parliament and of the Council and Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2019/779) for the performance of ECM activities on railway vehicles (locomotives, passenger cars, freight cars, special vehicles, and track machines).
