We offer transportation of a wide range of goods, from raw materials to high value-added products, container transport, and special shipments.
What we offer
Rail transport
ČD Cargo provides its customers with transport of goods by means of block trains and in the form of single wagon loads or their groups. We are ready to transport almost everything – from metallurgical products, minerals, wood to products with high added value, containers, road semitrailers or exceptional consignments, such as transformers.
Single Wagon Loads
ČD Cargo offers freight transport in the form of Single Wagon Loads (SWL). However, compared to the rules set for these transports in 2025, there will be a change in the functioning of the entire system in 2026, which is associated with a more significant reduction in the network with regular service.
Additional services
ČD Cargo offers a wide portfolio of additional services to rail transport. We can mention, for example, rail transport operation on sidings, customs representation or the rental of railway wagons. We also offer maintenance and repairs of the rolling stock.
Rail weighbridges
Based on a contractual relationship with Správa železnic (Railway Administration), ČD Cargo, a.s. has been the operator of selected railway weighbridges on the Správa železnic network since August 1, 2020.
These rail weighbridges are operated as service facilities.
Transport powered by green energy
More than 90% of ČD Cargo’s services are provided using environmentally friendly electric traction locomotives.
As part of the expansion of our services and aware of our social responsibility, we now offer all customers the opportunity to actively participate in the process of decarbonizing transport by using green energy to transport their goods.
Repair services
We perform maintenance on ČD Cargo rolling stock and also offer repairs for external customers. Rolling stock maintenance and repairs are carried out in vehicle repair shops concentrated in Rolling Stock Repair Centers (SOKV) based in Ostrava, Ústí nad Labem and České Budějovice.
Training and consultancy
We operate an accredited training center in accordance with the provisions of the Act on Rail Systems and provide consulting services in the areas of safety systems for rail transport operations.
