Opening of the Railway Academy

On Monday, 11 November 2024, we inaugurated the Railway Academy at our partner educational institution “Edvard Beneš High School” in Břeclav.

Flood situation

The situation in most parts of the Czech Republic is very critical due to heavy rain, wind and water pouring out of riverbeds and has a major impact on rail freight traffic. The most affected areas at the moment are Ostrava, Opava and the Jeseníky regions.

Expected traffic restrictions

Regarding the heavy rains that will hit the Czech Republic and its neighboring countries, significant restrictions of railway traffic connected with possible floods, tree falls due to under flooding or strong winds etc., ČD Cargo has activated a crisis awareness plan and is in continuous contact with the crisis staff of the infrastructure manager Správa železnic.

Repair shop hall in České Budějovice

In the presence of the Minister of Transport Martin Kupka and the Mayor of the town Dagmar Škodová Parmová, a new hall for the repair of freight wagons was inaugurated in České Budějovice this afternoon.
