As part of its comprehensive services, ČD Cargo provides a range of additional services related to rail transport in addition to its main business activities.
Logistics services
In cooperation with our subsidiary ČD Cargo Logistics, we offer additional services related to the handling of goods prior to or directly following their transport by rail. These include, for example, the collection and loading of goods, including their storage and securing, unloading of goods from railway wagons and delivery of goods to locations specified by the customer, adjustment or transshipment of the goods, and securing of goods in cases when the transport of a wagon load is temporarily suspended due to loading or technical defects, etc.

Siding services
ČD Cargo offers rail transport operations on sidings (delivery and pick-up of wagons to/from sidings, shunting on sidings and sorting of wagons before driving them to the siding) and, if interested, also processing sidings operation technology.

Transport of dangerous goods
Transports of these goods are realized in accordance with the Regulation concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Rail (RID). ČD Cargo has nominated two RID safety advisers, who are holders of a certificate of professional competence for railway transport of dangerous goods, which is issued by the Ministry of Transport of the Czech Republic.
ČD Cargo, a.s., also provides inspections of dangerous goods in accordance with the IRS 40471-3 issued by the UIC. This IRS specifies the obligations of carriers resulting from the provisions of paragraph 1.4.2.2.1 of the RID Regulations, with the aim to maintain quality of transport and inspections at a consistently high level.

Transport of exceptional consignments
Transport of exceptional consignments falls with responsibility of the working group PREMIZA. Based on information obtained from the customer, it seeks the optimal options for transporting the consignment by rail, negotiates its transport with successive carriers, and works closely with the exceptional consignment group of the Sales Department. Extraordinary consignments on the railway include, for example, goods exceeding the loading gauge, consignments exceeding the specified route class, loads whose securing does not comply with the UIC Loading Guidelines, rail vehicles running on their own wheels that may only be transported under special operating conditions, etc.

Customs services
ČD Cargo provides its customers with comprehensive customs clearance for all types of transport, including contact with state authorities. It offers, for example:
- Issuing customs documents
- Representation in customs proceedings
- Customs proceedings through simplified procedures
- Provision of customs debt security based on a contract
- Complete processing and submission of INTRASTAT statistical reports in electronic form to the relevant customs office
- And other services
Since 2009, ČD Cargo has been authorized for the status of Authorized Economic Operator CZAEOF0801B7 – Customs simplification/Security and safety (AEOF). In 2024, the Customs Office for the South Bohemian Region re-examined compliance with the conditions and criteria of the issued Authorization. ČD Cargo passed the subsequent inspection by the Customs Office and met all legislative requirements and criteria for AEO certificate holders. The Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) Institute is recognized and respected in all European Union member states and is also recognized by some third countries, particularly when assessing risks related to security aspects.

Wagon rental
ČD Cargo provides rental services for all types of railway freight wagons, including tank wagons. It also offers rental services for wagons of other companies and rental of operational and non-operational wagons for the purpose of utilizing cargo space and storage. Consulting and advisory services in the field of wagons are a matter of course.
