Collective labour agreement for 2026 concluded

On November 27, the management of ČD Cargo, a.s., concluded a Company Collective Labour Agreement with its social partners valid for 2026. In response to changing conditions on the transport market, the company is going through an exceptionally difficult period of restructuring, therefore the result of the negotiations is proof of the constructive approach of all parties involved. By signing, the social partners also appreciated the effort to find a balanced solution that respects the current economic possibilities of the company.

Strengthening the ČD Cargo sales

As of November 14, 2025, Mr. Jiří Horáček has taken up the position of Director of the Sales Department, who will be responsible for managing ČD Cargo’s sales activities, implementing the sales strategy and achieving its business goals.

On Wednesday, November 5, 2025, a meeting between ČD Cargo management and its customers took place in the conference hall of the Clarion Congress Hotel in Olomouc.

Changes in the Board of Directors of ČD Cargo

The Board of Directors of České dráhy, a.s., acting as the General Assembly of ČD Cargo, a.s., today accepted the resignation of Tomáš Tóth from the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors and Executive Director of ČD Cargo, a.s. The resignation was submitted effective on October 31, 2025.

ČD Cargo in the first half of 2025

In the first half of 2025, ČD Cargo recorded a loss before tax in the amount of CZK 931 million. This result reflects the ongoing transformation of the company as a consequence of the continuing decline in transport performances.

Company restructuring – next phase

On Monday, July 21, 2025, a meeting of the top management of ČD Cargo with representatives of the trade union central offices took place. The main topic was the continuation of the company restructuring. The transport volumes of all carriers on the network of Správa železnic declined by another 5.3% in the first half of this year.
