Conclusion of the first project to implement ETCS in ČD Cargo driving vehicles co-funded from the CEF 2015 Programme
ČD Cargo respects all deadlines based on the National ERTMS Implementation Plan and the Plan of Modern Security for the Czech railway, perceives the implementation of the ETCS train control system primarily as a tool to significantly increase the safety of an already very safe mode of transport and approaches it with the maximum degree of social responsibility.
Tariff of ČD Cargo, a.s., valid for 2024 – Amendment No. 2
Effective from June 01, 2024, ČD Cargo, a.s., issues Amendment No.2 to the Tariff (TVZ) valid for 2024.
ČD Cargo grows abroad and responds to structural changes in transported commodities on the domestic market
ČD Cargo, the largest domestic rail freight carrier which also transports goods by rail through its branches and subsidiaries abroad, achieved a gross profit before tax according to the International Accounting Standards (IFRS) of CZK 733 million for 2023.
Vectron Dual Mode in ČD Cargo service
A locomotive with number 248.082 reinforced the locomotive fleet of ČD Cargo at the beginning of April. It is a Vectron Dual Mode locomotive manufactured by Siemens, i.e. the same type of locomotive that we tested in trial operation last year.
Change in organizational structure of ČD Cargo
As of 1 April 2024, the organizational structure of ČD Cargo in the operations section is changing. The original six operational units will be dissolved, and three regional operations directorates (OPŘs) will be established.

ČD Cargo launches a new simulator. It will be compulsory for drivers every two years
Today, in the presence of the Minister of Transport, the management of ČD Cargo, the parent company České dráhy and other representatives of authorities and institutions related to railway transport, the carrier ČD Cargo festively launched the operation of a new train control simulator in Česká Třebová.
Stations with special transport conditions
In December 2023, ČD Cargo announced updated conditions for acceptance and delivery of consignments from/to stations with special transport conditions valid from 1st January 2024.
