Railway Days
September traditionally belongs to the celebration of Railway Days. And ČD Cargo cannot be absent. We look forward to seeing you on 9th September in Praha-Vršovice, 16th September in Česká Třebová and on 23rd September at the National Railway Day in Bohumín and on 30th September in Liberec.
Measurement of radioactivity
Due to the closure on the ÖBB network line, it will not be possible to carry out radioactivity measurements at Horní Dvořiště railway station from 21st August to 10th September 2023. We apologize for any incurred inconvenience.
Agreement for delivery of 12 more TRAXX locomotives signed
ČD Cargo has ordered 12 more TRAXX 3 MS locomotives equipped with the Atlas on-board system (ETCS Level 2, Baseline 3). The locomotives should be delivered in the first half of 2026 at the latest.
Tariff of ČD Cargo, a.s., valid for 2023 – Amendment No. 2
Effective from July 1, 2023, ČD Cargo, a.s., issues Amendment No. 2 to the Tariff (TVZ) valid for 2023.
Rail Business Days 2023
On 5 – 7 June 2023, ČD Cargo participated in the international railway trade fair Rail Business Days. This year’s edition was held in the industrial premises of the Trojhalí in Ostrava and both carriers and manufacturers of railway vehicles and equipment were represented – in total, more than a hundred companies exhibited here.
Meeting of association ŽESNAD.CZ
The Harmony Hotel in Spindleruv Mlyn hosted already the sixth annual ŽESNAD.CZ conference. In addition to delegates of carriers, the event was also attended by representatives of the Railway Administration, manufacturers of railway equipment, repair companies and, of course, political representatives, including the Minister of Transport Martin Kupka.
No strike in Germany
The announced strike by DB Netz employees has been called off. Operation of freight trains to/from Germany should therefore be ensured without major restrictions.
Strike in Germany
From 14 May 2023 22:00 to 16 May 2023 23:59, a strike by DB Netz employees will take place in Germany. No trains will be able to run on German railway lines during this period. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Year 2022 – one of the toughest in the company’s history
ČD Cargo, a.s., the largest domestic rail freight carrier and the most important subsidiary of České dráhy, a.s., realized profit before tax according to International Accounting Standards (IFRS) of CZK 233 million for 2022. This is a one-fifth lower profit year-on-year.
Lemkin Train
The Lemkin Train with wagons of ČD Cargo as its main partner set out on a symbolic journey on Monday afternoon to spread the legacy of Raphael Lemkin, the author of the concept of genocide and the 1948 UN Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide.
